Integrating AI Elements
How is Methodmaths integrating AI into its platform?
We have always focused on building our core content by hand with the guidance of highly experienced teachers. Our next phase of development leverages elements of AI to enhance user support and drive accelerated learning gains. We believe effective AI integration combines the best of human intelligence, talent and data to empower machine learning.

Knowledge Pathways
We are using AI to support personalized learning pathways based on target grades. Utilizing hundreds of thousands of historical data points, we can precisely identify pupil characteristics at every grade level and across tiers, providing a tailored learning journey without pre-assessment or dubious extrapolations.
Adaptive Learning
Methodmaths is now learning how pupils interact with every question, including time spent, number of attempts, and support accessed. Students will then receive small, regular sets of personalised practice questions via the phone app, embedding key features of learning science.

Predictive Analysis
Methodmaths has a strong track record of predicting future performance as it is based on real assessment material and official grade boundaries. Coupled with deeper interaction insights, final outcome data collection and machine learning, we are working towards the ultimate grade prediction tool.
Next Generation Tutorials
Methodmaths is creating clear, efficient video tutorials covering the entire maths curriculum from Year 1 to Year 11. Through careful scripting and limiting unnecessary visuals by removing faces and hands etc., our aim is to maximize the merits of dual coding without unnecessary cognitive overload. Initially constructed by expert teachers, we are using AI to generate high quality support materials. Our ambition is to produce a database of tutorials covering not just every topic but every possible method. This will allow users to choose techniques best suited to their learning or teaching needs. Tutorials are being specifically optimised for mobile, putting a comprehensive knowledge base in the hands of both pupils and teachers.

Improved Accessibility
With AI technology, we are creating text-to-speech and speech-to-text integrations making methodmaths more accessible for students with hearing or sight disabilities.
MethodMaths Learning Lab
There is no better way to collect feedback than by seeing pupils interacting with our platform. To ensure responsible AI implementation and maximum learning impact, all new content and AI algorithms are fully tested at our dedicated tuition and learning lab, providing direct pupil interaction feedback.
